     9. The sum of first 6 terms of an A.P is 42. The ratio of its 10th term to its 30th term is 1:3.Calculate the first and 13 th term of the A.P. (4marks) 

    10. Varun asks the labour to dig a well up to a depth of 10 metre. Labour charges Rs.150 for first metre and Rs. 50 for each subsequent metres. As labour was uneducated, he claims Rs. 550 for the whole work.
a)What should be the actual amount to be paid to the labours?                        

b)What value of Varun  is depicted in the question if he pays Rs. 600 to the labour?
    1. In a school, students thought of planting trees in an around the school to reduce air pollution. It was decided that the number of trees, that each section of each class will plant, will be the same as the class,in which they are studying in a section of class-I will plant 1 tree, a section of class II will plant 2 trees and so on till class XII. There are three sections of each class. How many trees will be planted by the students? What value can you infer from the planting the trees?
       12. A person donates money to a trust working for education of children and women in some villages. If the person donates Rs. 5000 in the first year and his donation increases by Rs. 250 every year, find the amount donated by him in the eighth year and the total amount donated in 8 years.
    a)Write any two values the person possesses.
    b)Why do you think education of women is necessary for the development of society?
