Answer the following

1. Write any four solutions for each of the following equations.

(a) 5x-2=0
(b) 3x+y=7
(c) 3x+4y=12

2. If (3,1) is a solution of the equation 3x+2y=k, find the value of k

3. Anu is driving her car with a uniform speed of 80 km/hr. Draw the time distance graph. From the graph find the distance travelled by her in  i)2  1/2 hrs        ii) 4 hrs

4. Draw the graph of the equation 6x+5y-28=0  and check whether the point (2,3) lies on the line

5. The taxi fare in a city is as follows: For the first kilometer, the fare is Rs. 8 and for
the subsequent distance it is Rs. 5 per km. Taking the distance covered as x km and total fare as Rs. y, writes a linear equation for this information, and draw its graph.

6. At what point does the graph of the linear equation x + y = 5 meet a line which is parallel to y-axis, at a distance 2 units from the origin and in positive direction of x-axis?

7. Find the value of m if (-1, 1) is a solution of the equation 3x-my=5
